Brye put it delicately to me this morning:
"Mommy WHY don't we have Halloween Decorations?"
Honestly?
I had forgot about the ones that I bought on sale at Walgreens. The cute gel Mickey and Snoopy ones.  I had looked at decorations off and on for the last month, but nothing really "jumped out" at me. Most of it was bad quality priced to high to suit me. Yeah, I am cheap frugal.
So Freedom and I did the next next thing.
We made our own.
I wasn't about to pull out paint with a rambunctious two year old (with a strong wild streak) today. I took the idea for ghost footprints. Instead of paint, I traced them onto white printer paper. I also tried using her hands. I also made some spiders by tracing four of her fingers onto a folded piece of black construction paper.
Poor little sad spider.
Freedom said he was said cause he got "rain a-washed out".
We've been learning "itsy bisty spider".
More to come later.
Freedom is trying to feed our "acquired" out door cat. Must stop her before a whole bag of food is trailed out.

Happy Birthday to Me and John!

Call me dorky.
Today is 10.10.10!

We celebrated my birthday yesterday, it was the 5th.
Yesterday also happened to be John Lennon's birthday.

In place of a Birthday Cake, I made a pan of Irish Creme Brownies. They are awesome!
Not very diet friendly, but awesome none the less.
Note to self:
A stick of butter is only 1/2 cup, not a whole cup. Make sure you have everything you need before baking. Premade chocolate icing gets squishy when it's room temperature.

Since it was my Birthday, I decided to drink.
I went with one of my favorite drinks: Tarantula Azul Margaritas -- out of a beer mug.

One Man Wrecking Crew

Yes, that is what Freedom can be classified as.
I honestly never remember Brye being that destructive.  I can have a room cleaned and within 10 minutes she has every little toy and book tossed around the house.  But at least she is cute while she's doing it.
