Where is my Milk From?

A cow. Duh!

No, seriously.
There is a neat website that I stumbled across. Someone had posted it on Facebook. It's called "Where is my milk from?" On the left hand side, disguised as a carton of milk, you enter the code from your milk. It will then show you on a map where your milk is from.

According to the codes on my carton; my 1/2 gallon of Horizon Organic Chocolate Milk is from Elma New York. Depending on which way you go, that could be a 9.5 to an 11 hour drive! It's around 600 miles away from me.

That's a long way to get milk!

So now I ask you... Where is your milk from?

Head on over to whereismymilkfrom.com to find out and comment with your results.

  1. My milk is from a dairy farm one hour north of me, but that's because we drive there every four weeks to pick it up ourselves. We are part of a "cow share" in order to get fresh milk, which means we actually own part of a cow at the farm. It's a lot of work sometimes, but boy is fresh, nutritious milk from a farmer I can trust worth it.
