If you use US Cellular

and you live in the Northern Foothills of North Carolina; I do not suggest you get a Blackberry. Nine times out of ten you can't connect to the network. That makes it a pain in the rear to accomplish anything. I have had many problems with the applications. They freeze and won't load. Also, I experience the connectivity issues within many applications.
I have a Curve 8330. The first one I had, brand new, the track ball quit working. With the warranty, I got a refurbished blackberry. The camera barely worked, the connectivity issues worsened, oh and it virabted so hard/bad that it would cause the memory card to become loose. On occasion, the battery would work it's way loose.
After months of calling, they finally sent me (another) refurbished phone. I really hope that it works like it's supposed to.

How can you be nice without sounding cruel?

One of my hang ups... Being an over-weight young-ish mom. Reason for my choice of words? I strongly believe that "baby" fat is evil and hangs on to you differently than regular fat.
I grew up skinny, but gained a lot during a relationship. Lost a lot, got pregnant. Lost that in 3 years... Pregnant. Now I have 20 lbs to reach the pre-pregnancy goal.
Sorry, got side tracked.
I can't help but notice other people who are "bigger" and wonder "... Do I look like that?" Especially when I know I outweigh them by at least 10 lbs, and they wear something not at all flattering.
Then I am faced with the delicate question of "Do I mention it?"
I know I would like to be told, in a non-cruel way that I look like a beached whale.
Kind of makes me think of the people who watch you get fat but don't say anything about it until you decide to lose weight.
I guess it's a delicate line between being nice and mean.

I want to write too Mommy!

We've been trying to get Brye to write his name. He saw a Chuck E Cheese's commercial (I hate commercials on Nick) and did the usual begging/whining to go.
We came up with the perfect solution... Once he could spell his name, we would take him there.

Back to the picture. Somehow or another we went out of the living room and upon our return, Freedom was sitting on the couch trying to draw. She kept repeating Brye's name. Maybe she wants to go to Chuck E Cheese's on her own.

Where Do I Stand?

I am a bit torn over the whole "Socialized Medicine" Issue.
On one hand, being an uninsured person in American, I would like the chance to have insurance. On the other, I think there are too many people in this Country for it to be effective, oh and I feel that the Government is corrupt.

I came across an article on Natural News that outlines some of the "Health Care Reform Bill". An Army Translator translated the bill into "regular" English and it can be found at FreeRepublic.com

• Page 29: Admission: your health care will be rationed!
• Page 30: A government committee will decide what treatments and benefits you get (and, unlike an insurer, there will be no appeals process)
Page 42: The "Health Choices Commissioner" will decide health benefits for you. You will have no choice. None.
• Page 59: The federal government will have direct, real-time access to all individual bank accounts for electronic funds transfer.
• Page 280: Hospitals will be penalized for what the government deems preventable re-admissions.
• Page 427: Government mandates program that orders end-of-life treatment; government dictates how your life ends.
• Page 429: Advance Care Planning Consult will be used to dictate treatment as patient's health deteriorates. This can include an ORDER for end-of-life plans. An ORDER from the GOVERNMENT.
• Page 489: Government will cover marriage and family therapy. Government intervenes in your marriage.

Knit Animal Hats?

Yes please!!

*eep*
I need this hat.
Brandon has been searching online for a "Flat Cap". He tried one on at Spencer's a few months ago and fell in love with it. He came across this website, which sells these cute knit animal hats. He was even sweet enough to bookmark it for me. I have an obsession for penguins. They also have adorable Pandas, Sock Monkeys and Moose, just to name a few. At $26.50 a piece, it's not that bad.
Just so you know... My Birthday is October 5th. *grin*

What's on the Menu This Week?

So, in hopes of reducing our grocery bill, I'm trying to plan out a week worth of meals.
I'm trying to use up the random meats that are in the freezer.
Just realized that we have LOTS of green bean and pinto beans in the cabinet.

Monday:
-Grilled Hamburgers
-French Fries or tator tots (Which ever is left in the freezer)

Tuesday:
-Chicken (Shake and bake?)
-Beans (Bran's choice)
-Corn
-Baked Potatoe

Wednesday:
Breakfast!!
-Sausage
-Biscuits
-Eggs

Thursday:
-Pork Chops
-Mashed potatoes
-Corn
-Beans (Bran's choice. He's the only one who eats them)

Friday:
Pizza!!
Homemade pizza, made by Brye and myself

Saturday:
-Stir Fry meat
-"Noodles" (Some type of pasta. Toss up between macaroni, spirals and spaghetti)

Sunday:
-Spaghetti. Might spice it up and make Garlic Bread.

Need to buy:
-Corn
-Potatoes
-Spaghetti Sauce
-Garlic Bread
-Eggs

Sounds easy! Now all I need to do is stick to it.
