It's week two of the Body After Baby Challenge being run by MamaNotes.com. We have mini weekly challenges worth points, and then after the eight weeks we submit before and after pictures. Each week there is a winner, and at the end the grand prize of a $50 gift certificate to Mama Momo and another $25 gift certificate to store of their choice.
Last week the challenge was to drink water. Each glass was one point, max of eight points a day. I am glad to say that I met my goal of at least eight glasses a day. Most says I had about ten. I love water.
This week's challenge? Walking. For every 15 minutes of walking (or running if that's your thing) you get one point. And you would figure that we're in the middle of a rainy week. I'll guess I'll break down and do the running on Wii Fit. The island run probably takes about 10 minutes.
How am I doing otherwise?
I've lost 12 lbs. I've lost a total of 13 (big difference) but I've gained that pound back. Bad annoying pound.
I've lost some inches too. Two inches from both the hips and waist. Still feel huge though.
One thing that I've noticed in the last few days, it's a chore for me to eat 900 calories. Honestly, that is starting to scare me. Besides the whole "cut calories back to far and you start storing fat" thing, I am worried that I am having to force myself to eat. For the fun of it, I've been using the formula that the weight loss doctor gave us in which you subtract the protein calories and eat 600-800 "true" calories. To make it easier on us, I made a spread sheet so I wouldn't have to crunch numbers 24 hours a day. When you factor the small amount that I am eating, I barely make the 600 calories since I eat so much protein. Thank goodness for my multivitamin. Who knows, maybe my stomach is shrinking and it will keep me from overeating in the future.
Want to know my biggest accomplishment (at least to me) for the week? I turned down pizza... at first. We brought home pizza Friday night. My son ended up staying with my inlaws so after eyeballing the pizza for a few hours (we were going to warm it up and serve it the next day) I asked my husband to take it to his parent's house so it wouldn't taunt me. That was a major turning point. I could live off pizza, and gain another 100 lbs in the process.
Pounds Lost- 12 (Currently 229.1 lbs)
Points - 64 (M-8 T-8 W-8 T-8 F-8 S-8 S-8 M-8)
